Kidue Petros Hospital is one of the federal hospitals under the Ministry of Health (MOH) founded by Emperor Haileselassie in 1953. The hospital is the country’s first TB referral hospital Fatar Petics is one hospital but formerly it was located in two places. The Sanatorium was located in Entoto (a house of the late patriot Ras Abebe Aregay) while The OPD was located in the city in the 1960s, the hospital was named TB Demonstration and Training Centre and Sanatorium. By incorporating its all services in the compound of the late patriot, Kedus Petros Hospital also accepts the legacy of the patriot and uses it in its compassionate care. Kidus Petros has been serving the nation as the only tuberculosis hospital for more than decades and now expanding from a single-disease hospital into service service-specialized hospital, kidus Petros is serving with more than 14 specialties and excellence centers.
